Below you will find links to the January 2020 Kansas City Housing Market Report from the Kansas City Regional Association of REALTORS® and Heartland Multiple Listing Service. Highlights from the January data include:
- January 2020 average sales price for new & existing homes combined ($241,632) is 2.9 percent higher than January 2019.
- There were 2,093 home sales (new & existing combined) for January 2020 – 3.8 percent higher than last January (2,017).
- Home inventory (new & existing combined) for January 2020 (6,261) is 22.2 percent lower compared to January 2019 (8,047).
- The supply of new and existing homes for January 2020 is back down to 1.9. This is the first time we have seen it dip below 2 months. This shows a serious shortage of available homes for sale.
